Lecce hosts on August 24 to 26 the feast in honour of the patron, the Bishop St. Oronzo. The heartfelt devotion of the faithful Lecce inhabitants also shows up in a "profane" way in the street furniture and spectacular illuminations in the suggestive pyrotechnic and musical performances, which return the authentic festival atmosphere. On this occasion St. Giusto and St. Fortunato will be celebrate too, accompanied by a great gastronomic tradition: roasted "galletti di primo canto" and tasty aubergine soup called "St. Oronzo"
The three-day celebration hosts band concerts, light shows and traditional music. The lights adorn the main town streets and the festival ends with an impressive firework show.
