The history of the Masseria

The history of the Masseria Tenuta Flora Maria near Porto Cesareo is imbued with love for the land.
This residence is housed in an old farmhouse renovated and restored to its former glory.
The building consists of a court-style structure called Masseria, with a large central courtyard which the rooms overlook onto. The courtyard houses have very ancient origins and find expression in the way of living of farmers in rural areas of Salento. A recent restoration, in the context of a rural tourism project, allowed to magnify the charm and the beauty to make you discover the atmosphere of the peasant life in Salento.
With its carparo finishes (highly porous calcarenite), surrounded by red soil, dry stone walls, vineyards, olive groves and the scents of the Mediterranean scrub, Tenuta Flora Maria is a special and reserved place.
